Founded in 2010 by Paul Clausen, Clausen Management Services, Inc. provides full-service Program Management, Construction Management, Owner’s Representative Services, Cost Estimating, General Contracting, and Environmental Services.
Clausen Management has successfully overseen projects of many scales for a wide variety of Clients, both Public and Private. We have years of combined experience working with Owners, Architects, Design Professionals, Contractors, and others within the Construction Industry and draw from the full range of available solutions and expertise to make your project a success. We provide support through all stages of your project's lifecycle to obtain the best results. No project is too large or too small for our team.

Our Services
Construction Management
Clausen Management Services, Inc. was incorporated in 2010, and since that time we have completed numerous projects in the Chicago area as Owner’s Representative to a multitude of clients. Paul Clausen, the founder of the company, is personally involved in every project. Mr. Clausen is an Illinois licensed Architect and an Asbestos Professional licensed with the Illinois Department of Public Health. Our firm capabilities include a full scope of Owner’s Representative Services as well as Environmental Consulting Services. We also have a General Contractor License and manage smaller projects (under $2M) where the client prefers to hire individual subcontractors to complete their work.
Over the years we have provided services on a multitude and variety of projects including office, residential, hospitality, K-12, higher education, Tenant office build-outs, Landlord white box work, building façade work, and recent major projects such as a new 4-story commercial building by Wrigley Field, an office high-rise in Fulton Market, and two residential high-rise buildings on Chicago Avenue.
As Owner’s Representative, our sole purpose is to protect the rights of the Owner, and to advise and act in the Owner’s best interest at all times. The benefit of Mr. Clausen’s 35 years of experience in the industry allows us to establish the best processes and timelines for each individual project. Our skills include a full gamut from preplanning and budgeting, to procurement of consultants and contractors, oversight of scope and document preparation, management of all processes during construction, and complete project closeout services.
Because Mr. Clausen is a licensed Architect, scope and design processes are readily understood and professionally managed. Experience with costs and budgets and funding brings skills to the financial side, and a clear understanding of processes allow for unparalleled organization on any project. In addition, Mr. Clausen has worked on many projects where disparate stakeholders need to be heard and understood and a unified approach be taken so that the best results can be achieved.
In short, the method of managing and executing the project is developed in response to the needs of the client. We have the expertise and experience to know which processes to utilize for each situation, and to apply these solutions to achieve the best results.
