COMPANY PROFILE
Clausen Management Services, Inc. provides full-service Project Management and Owner’s Representative Services for all types of building projects, both new construction and renovation/reuse. The company was founded in 2010 by Paul Clausen, who is a licensed Architect and IDPH Asbestos Designer, Inspector, and Management Planner with over 28 years of industry experience. We also provide Cost Estimating, Scheduling, Peer Review, and Environmental services either as an integrated part of our Program/Project Management Services, or as a stand-alone service in support of a larger team effort. We often provide these services to Architects, Engineers, Environmental Consultants, and Contractors.
Our Project Experience includes significant work with K-12 schools, higher education, adaptive reuse of existing buildings, site development, and new construction. When serving as Owner’s Representative, we take an integrated approach to our work, maintaining controls on costs, schedule, and scope of work, balancing the client needs, while always protecting the rights and interests of the Owner. When we become a team component we bring this same ethic to our support services and pride ourselves on timely, accurate, and team-oriented work.
Our Current Work includes Cost Estimating and building assessment work for multiple addresses for Chicago Housing Authority, ongoing management of multiple projects at various addresses for Columbia College Chicago, management of the Abatement and Demolition for the conversion of the Chicago Athletic Association building into a boutique hotel, Environmental Surveys for Columbia College, and ongoing Asbestos Design and Environmental management work in both K-12 schools and Public and Commercial Buildings. We are also a pre-qualified scheduling consultant with Chicago Public Schools.
Mr. Clausen's past work experience prior to establishing the firm includes program and project management services for Columbia College Chicago, St. Augustine College, San Miguel Schools, Chicago Public Schools, the Public Building Commission of Chicago, the Chicago Housing Authority, the City of Chicago Department of Environment, the Chicago Transit Authority, and management of a multitude of new and renovation projects throughout Chicago including Program Management and Owner’s Representative Services for the construction of the Pritzker Music Pavilion in Millennium Park.
Our Years of Experience in project management from the early design phases through closeout gives us a level of knowledge and understanding that we believe makes us an industry leader. Whether we are serving in a support role through Cost Estimating, Scheduling, Peer Review, or Environmental Services, or taking the lead as Owner’s Representative or Program Manager, our process and knowledge is part of the key to Team success, producing the best possible results for the Owner and End Users.
